Do the maxis fit in standard car park spaces? Like a Tesco?

Van prices have gone crazy. Wasn't that long ago you could pick up 5/6 year old transit MK6/7 for around £3-4k now you can't find anything under £15k with less than 130k miles. Great Vid guys keep it up :)

How do you fit the support ring and shutter, when you are fitting a one peice roof ply? Must be very differcult doing perfect measurements/cuts? I am struggling to find someone to do the complete job for me,as i want a 1 peice roof ply painting blue to match my van and lighting done too [like you too roof vent hole already in place]

Great work! Just an observation….that flettner vent will only be pulling air from the cavity, you didn’t fit any kind of tube between the cavity and inside of the van. It’ll be of no use at all unless the cavity is blocked off. I have fitted 100’s of these. Usually a curled piece of 3mm abs plastic cut to curl round and meet each side works the best (think ‘cardboard toilet tube’). Great work though!

I haven't done the remap yet. I've done everything else. I'm fully deleted EGR, exhaust, etc. I run a catch can too. Clean air going through my 1.9 TDI. I feel like the van moves better. It's not restricted anymore. She can breathe! I'm gonna order a tune in the comming weeks. She already goes hard for what she is. She's a little go-getter. Hi will i seem to have problems with isolator,also my battery is in excellent condition. Halfords tested it too How do i remove it or disconnect it? Thamx

First on mine went at 38K a month ago. 2011 1.6 Caddy Maxi Life, had 29K on the clock when I bought it a few years ago. AA repaired at £660, £500 of that covered, genuine VW injector, with a 2 year warranty. They go in sequence, 1 and 3, 2 and 4, from what I can gather. I've had no 3 replaced by the AA, and replaced no 1 at the garage, along with a new spill/fuel pipe. Huge cost, but I don't feel like a sitting duck, just waiting for the next one to go. You need a small mortgage to replace all of them at the same time. :( Limp mode is no use on a smart motorway! I've read recently that injector problems can be caused because the bonnet drips water straight onto the injectors. I had noticed this, and careful not to open the bonnet in the rain without wiping it first. So they need an engine cover. Electrical contacts and water don't mix. I wonder if this is the root cause of the problem. Here below is a link to putting in an engine cover, although I think the injectors are still duff, I'm hoping this works! I’m in the process of buying a new T6.1 while stocks last. The new Transporter/Transit is awful.

Caddy owner 1.6, only use shell vpower and I put liqui moly super diesel additive and service every year only had one go bad that was before using vpower 🤞🔥

I'll be keeping my T4 for a long time. I'm considering an electric conversion in another 5-10 years. The T7 will be overpriced, unreliable junk.

Hi Will! Love it. Thanks for all of your super helpful videos! I'm currently converting an ex-Scottish Gas caddy, and installing a leisure battery/split relay circuit to the starter battery. I'm wondering - did you install a leisure batt? And if so, did you disconnect the British Gas battery isolator from the starter battery before you installed your split charge relay circuit, or did you just leave it attached and everything worked fine? Thanks!

Had one of these maxis 3 years for work. Absolutely love it. One thing I would warn people about is it not having door catch straps that stop it flying open too far. Mine flew open in wind and caused it to crack. I open it 100 times a day. Had the door welded twice.

Windscreen surround rust is common on the T4. They can let water in via the windscreen frame, but also where the A pillar joins the roof (it cracks) and behind the weather strip where separation can occur. Best to tackle all three areas at the same time. I'd recommend finding a place that knows those weak spots on the T4. A nice van for the price that was paid.

Hello mate! Love the video. I’ve had a look to try find one myself, I’ve got a 2013 caddy maxi but they only seem to do up to 2010 or 2015 and over so am unsure what to go for. Which did you go for?

It’s not a looker whereas the Ford transit custom is & it’s the first time the transit looked better than the transporter - those who want the looks will either go for the transit or buzz cargo - I can see a lot of people going for the hybrid models personally I’d love a T7 ( strangely the multi van is also called T7 and is only a hybrid ) electric California if there’s ever one
